Worth checking before you pay anyone

1. Bail the tub out and take the sump filter off. A packed sump explains standing water, a gritty upper rack and a mid-cycle stop all at the same time.
2. Look at the drain hose loop under the sink. A loop that has dropped, or a disposal spigot with its factory plug still in it, will not drain no matter how good the pump is.
3. Start a fill and watch the door sill. Seepage that only shows at full load is usually a flattened seal rather than a cracked tub.
